I have been working on some new skills over the past year turning all my newborn sessions into beautiful works of art with my own digital backdrop creations. I have always loved bringing the outdoors in and incorporating natural props and textures into each session. I love nature and the outside world so much and what is more natural than a new little life, a tiny baby, an amazing gift to the world?

Using my own landscape nature portraits I can composite each new bundle of joy into the portrait creating one of a kind pieces of art. The Fern Baby Portrait background below was taken in Oban, Scotland at the ancient Gylen Castle Grounds. My son was studying abroad and I had the opportunity to visit him last Summer. So exciting!

Tug Boat Baby was taken in Scituate, MA on my way home from photographing a wedding in this quaint little harbor town. I saw this scene and had to pull over to get my shot! I had no idea three years later I would be using it for a Newborn Portrait but I just knew I had to take it.

I also LOVE supporting my fellow photographers and artists by purchasing their digital work and watercolor graphics for my portraits as well.
