Family Portraits, Portrait Photography

My Family Session

Weren’t these guys great to humor me for our yearly family photo session??!!  Of course it wouldn’t be our family photo shoot without my youngest giving me rabbit ears!  Even after I bribed him to come and pretend to be happy.  Fifteen years old, YES he has to pretend. LOL.  I was still super grateful to all three of them for these photos.   It’s so important to me that I have these photos.  I LOVE Photos.  Obviously…  For me its a documentation of the past, present, and future of our family.  Have you ever looked at an old photo album of yourself with your parents or even your grandparents.  Aren’t you so grateful for those photos and memories.  And while your looking at old memories your making new memories, right?  Those are such precious moments in time and you will always remember them.  Its so important to document these years because someday you are going to be the parent or grandparent that your children and grandchildren are looking through old photos with.  Yes I think about that.  That’s how special those memories have been for me with my parents and grandparents and even with my aunts and uncles.  When your laughing and having fun in real time, one day you will be laughing and having fun while remembering about laughing and having fun.  Sounds crazy I know but I don’t want to miss a single second of it.  I hope you don’t either.  Get your family together.  Get those portraits taken.  Get those albums made.  You will be so grateful for it all one day.

Photography is the only real time machine.  A photograph is your own personal journey into the past.  A photo album is your own Story, Science Fiction Novel, or Comic Book.  A photograph is evidence that time existed, life was lived, places were traveled, people were met, laughs were had, and adventures were experienced.  Karrie Knowles
